On average, a new home based business starts up every 10 seconds. While only a small percentage of these will make it, the ones that do are usually very successful. Why? Because they have a system in place to almost guarantee their success, much like a expensive franchise opportunity, where all the proven policies, operations, marketing plans or systems and manual are in place.
Why do so many home based businesses fail? Usually for one of two reasons. 1. Lack of a good product or 2. People do not treat their home based business as a business.
You must have a good product that people want and will purchase, and it must be priced accordingly. Nobody will purchase your product is they do not perceive the value in the product or price point.
Most home based business that fail, fail because most do not treat their home based business as a business. Many people sign up for the latest and greatest get rich quick scheme, purchase business cards and expect the checks to start rolling in. They run to the mail box each day expecting to find these big checks that we promised.
After a few weeks or months, they quit the business and say things like, "that was a scam", "I lost money with direct selling" or "that just wasn't for me".
When you start a home based business, you need the proper training and guidance from your sponsor, you need product knowledge, you need to make a commitment to treat your business as a business and be willing to work 7-10 hours a week working your warm market, and be willing to be trained with a duplicated system to help you achieve your goals.
If you are willing to be trained and coached, can follow the training and sales techniques presented by your company or sponsor and not deviate from them, are willing to commit to 7-10 hours per week to your business, then there is no reason why that you can not make at least $30,000.00 your first 6-8 months, $100,000.00 by the end of your first year and $250,000.00 or more by your second year.
How are such figures possible? These incomes are possible with network marketing or direct sales, if you are willing to follow the policies outlined above and the power of leverage that network marketing offers.
By using the power of leverage you can grow a massive network in the matter of a few months by having and using a duplicatable system.
Let's say that after, and I mean only after, you have spent at least 2 weeks with your sponsor getting the proper training with a duplicatable system, you go out and sponsor 3 reps into your business who want to become business builders with you, you provide them with the same training that you relieved from your sponsor to the letter, then they go out and sponsor 3 people, now you have 6 people in your organization.
Not let's say, and it is possible and doable if you follow the trying to the letter, after these new people relieve the exact training that you recived, they each go out and sponsor 3 people, you now have 39 business builders in your organization and these 39 business builders train their new reps the exact same way and methods that you trained your first reps with go out and each train 3 new reps each, you will now have about 162 people in your organization.
The proper training takes about 2 - 3 weeks and after these 2 - 3 weeks, you should be able to start scheduling people to present your business to. After you start presenting you business opportunity, you get into your prospects living room and give them a one-on-one presentation of your business. When you get into your prospects living room and complete your presentation, it is vitally important that you get your prospect on the phone with your sponsor, so that he or she can answer any questions they have.
If they join at this point, great! If they do not join, this simply means that they need more information. If they do not join at this meeting, you should get them to commit to another larger meeting with a small group of people and present more information to them, usually 9-10 times, people will join by the second, larger meeting.
So, after you spend a few weeks on training, you go out and present your business to just three people and this whole process take just a month or two, you can see why, just sponsoring three business builders, who sponsor 3 more business builders, who also sponsor 3 business builders each and again duplicate the system one more time can get you off to a very fast start, with an organization of over 160 people in under a year.
In many network marketing businesses, you are probably a director with 160 in your organization. So you can see that it is possible, and it happens everyday across America and 50 other countries, to make an insane amount of money with network marketing.
Network marketing or direct sales, or multi-level marketing (MLM) as it called, is the safest, legitimate way (make sure that you are with a legitimate business) for the average person to make more money in a year, than most people make in a lifetime.
